A lot of Indians start their day with a hot cup of tea(Garam garam chai). Though I love chai in any form, ginger tea has something special in it. A hot cup of ginger( adrak ) tea with adrak well infused in the tea is like a stress reliever!
Here is a recipe for a quick Adrak wali chai
Ingredients
- Water – 11/2 cups
- Milk – 1 Cup
- Sugar – to taste
- Ginger – 11/2 tsp grated
- Tea leaves – 2 tsp
Instructions-
- Heat water in a Saucepan
- Add grated ginger and let it come to a boil
- Add tea leaves, stir
- Add 1 cup of milk
- Let it simmer for 3 – 4 minutes
- Add sugar and mix well
- Boil for few minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea
- strain into a cup and Serve hot!
